Yesterday, March 21, was World Down Syndrome Day. The date for WDSD being the 21st day of the 3rd month was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome. Since the chromosomes look like socks, ECISD rocked their socks by wearing mismatched, colorful, zany socks yesterday to support and create awareness. #WorldDownSyndromeDay

🌷 Mrs. Zahn’s advanced floral design students have spent the past several days creating wearable floral products. They have made basic boutonnières, wrist corsages, and floral pocket squares. The pocket squares are a fun alternative to a pin on boutonnière. Special thanks to Mr. Cook and Mr. Fuechec, who modeled for us!
