Happy Administrative Assistants Day to these amazing ladies! Thank you for all you do at Myatt!

ECMS Athletics Parents! Important information regarding Physicals and Rank One for the 2023-24 academic school year.
Incoming 7th graders – Must complete 3 forms on the Rank One website and receive a physical completed by a doctor. ECMS will have a physical day MAY 11th on campus for $15! Please get the money and physical form (complete the front side) to an ECMS coach at your earliest convenience. If you would like for your child to receive their physical from their own physician, please begin scheduling those appointments.
Incoming 8th graders – Must complete 3 forms on the Rank One website. If your child was injured and under doctor’s care during the 2022-23 academic school year, they must complete a new physical.
Both the incoming 7th and 8th grade athletes received the proper forms and QR codes. If you have any questions please contact an ECMS coach.

Step II Class appreciates all these Ladies and Renee Karl, who was not available for a picture.

Thank you to Kaydi Kacer, High School Health Sciences Instructor, for sharing about health and wellness at Ricebird University. The final Ricebird University will be held at Northside Monday May, 8th at 5:30. We will be learning about how to help your child over the summer and expectations for transitioning to the next campus. Hope to see you there!

Today, we recognize and celebrate the hard work and contributions of the administrative assistants of ECISD! Thank you for all that you do!

Volunteers Needed!
Students in the Health Science Phlebotomy Program at the high school are working to get their phlebotomist licenses to draw blood as medical assistants. The students have all successfully performed a blood draw on their teacher and classmates. Now they need you to help them each reach their 30 successful venipuncture sticks to get their license!
It is a small stick just to practice accessing the vein. They will not collect more than a few drops, no tests will be run, and blood will be disposed of after the draw.
Family and friends nights are from 3:30-6:30 pm on Wednesday, April 26th, and Wednesday, May 3rd in H7.
All participants will be entered to win one of five $50 AMEX gift cards or one of 3 $250 Visa gift cards. The more times you let them stick you, the more your name goes in the drawing!

*Students will need a signed consent form from a parent/guardian: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JgqmQAjrUnV-WkbpXnVgK6uIuysm8Efv6nIaFLmY2-o/edit?usp=sharing

ECMS - Save the Dates! STAAR testing is just around the corner! Save these important dates: April 26: Grades 6-8 Reading; May 2: Grade 8 Science; May 4: Grade 8 Social Studies; May 10th: Grades 6-8 Math/Algebra I. ⭐All students will need their school-issued Chromebook charged and ready for testing.

Mrs. Bowling´s 8th Grade AVID class got to tour Texas A&M Corpus Christi this week and the Islanders were very welcoming! The students were able to see several campus landmarks, learn about student life, and even dine at the campus dining hall.
Then, as an extra treat, they went to the Texas State Aquarium where students learned about the Gulf wildlife, witnessed animal feedings, touched stingrays, and saw the dolphin show!
