Our ag teachers attended the Texas Agricultural Teachers Association Conference in Corpus Christi. They gained valuable insight into ag education and Texas FFA via sessions and workshops. A couple of highlights from the conference include Mrs. Wilson being named the Area XI Experienced Teacher of the Year by the Agricultural Science Teachers Association of Texas! This prestigious honor recognizes educators who demonstrate exceptional teaching practices and a deep commitment to student success. And, Mrs. and Mr. Wilson assisted in presenting a workshop on being ag teachers who are married. Ms. Lowe also assisted in the workshop from the perspective of an ag teacher's kid. The ag teachers are looking forward to a great year and implementing new ideas into their classes and the program.

Teachers from the ECISD 2025 Summer Book Club got a delightful surprise when the brain behind their book, "Cooking Up Experiences in the Classroom", and the mastermind of EdTech Bites, popped into their summer professional development session.
Gabriel Carrillo spent part of the morning mixing up some tasty ideas about his book and sparking inspiration for meaningful classroom magic. He even did an impromptu book signing!
Armed with insights from their book study, teachers are already cooking up plans for the new school year. The session was expertly crafted by instructional coaches Jana Fernandez, Natalie Gwosdz, and Brittanie Payne.
