⛳ Ricebird Golf took 2nd place at their tournament Monday with a team score of 328. JV got 4th with a 350.
Next up, the Ricebirds will head to Bellville on Monday, March 20.

Friday, Ms. Ener's kindergarten, class along with other kindergarten classes, go to play at Legacy Park for their good behavior incentive. Way to go kids!

We are proud to celebrate our outstanding educational diagnosticians and school psychologists during Texas Educational Diagnosticians Week, March 6-10, 2023.
Educational Diagnosticians are special educators who assess students who need specialized support in school. They often are the spokesperson at ARD meetings.
These professionals help provide the next generation of leaders with the knowledge and skills that are the building blocks of lifelong excellence by developing and recommending teaching strategies and materials.
Thank you to these wonderful leaders in Education who work hard every day to help our students!

Let's hear it for our Ricebird athletes who participated in the Special Olympics Basketball Competition in Alvin on Saturday. They competed in the Individual Skills portion where they had to dribble, pass, and shoot the ball. Timothy Armstrong and Laura Baker each received a Silver medal in their division! #ricebirdnation

🚨 Jalon Debbs, TSTC representative that will be in the ECHS library today during the lunches, is offering 50 scholarships to our Seniors first come first serve. They need to apply for FASFA to see what they need and he can assist with the scholarship application.

At approximately 8:35 this morning, our school resource officer was outside and heard multiple gunshots near the middle school. Out of an abundance of caution, the middle school went on lockdown. The lockdown lasted approximately 2 minutes as the quick police response found a citizen that lives nearby in the county was sighting in his rifle. Everyone is safe and the lockdown has been lifted.
5th graders at Northside Elementary practiced area and perimeter while also practicing a life skill - using rulers! Students measured various shapes and then found the area or perimeter of those shapes.
