Coach Davis and Ms. Merta’s 6th grade Social Studies classes discovered what it was like during the Columbia Exchange. Mrs. Ener’s class had a presentation from WCJC Dental Hygienist students. They taught the class about brushing their teeth and good dental hygiene.






Ms. Fellers' 8th graders are diving headfirst into the world of Newton’s 3 Laws! They put on a spectacular show, demonstrating the Law of Inertia like true science wizards. At the School Board meeting last night, the Board rolled out the red carpet to honor our Remarkable Ricebirds and gave a huge shoutout to Moises Rodriguez, the TASSP Region 3 Assistant Principal of the Year!
They also received information regarding the district's 2023 FIRST rating and were updated on the progress of the facility committee.

Who could resist hopping out of the car when the Dolls are in sight? These adorable Ricebirds are sending a big shoutout to the Derby Dolls for their help during drop-off at Myatt last week!







Hutchins students participated in assemblies where they reviewed the character trait of TRUSTWORTHINESS and introduced the character trait of RESPECT. Each homeroom class voted on two students who demonstrated the trait of trustworthiness and those students were recognized! Each month students and staff focus on a character value that focuses on building students’ character, social-emotional, and academic skills, while shaping a positive school culture.






Mrs. Hopper's Clinical class learned about the care of geriatric residents. Students learned how to perform nail care and oral care on their ”patient”.

⭐Fun facts: he is a US Navy Veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Storm, is the youngest of 7, was the varsity quarterback, can play guitar and sing, and loves all pizza, Metallica, and any Chris Farley movie!

Mrs. Kacer’s Medical Terminology class participated in a muscle fatigue lab. Students had to do arm extensions for eight minutes, wall sits, and calf raises to see the effects of exercise on their muscles.





The PreK and ECSE students at Myatt are reading the book "Pumpkin Jack" so they took a quick field trip over to Walmart to look at and pick out a few pumpkins for their classrooms. Mrs. Hopper's Anatomy & Physiology for Health Care Careers class was involved in a crime scene! Students performed autopsies and learned about directional terms and dissection tools.





In recognition of Unity Day October 16, 2024, the ECMS Art Club and Art classes created this beautiful piece of artwork.

The PreK classes of Reeve, Janik, Tompkins, and Ramirez dove into a pumpkin-tastic experiment after getting their fill of the story "Pumpkin Jack"! 🎃📚








El Campo High School recognized the CNA program donors at Friday night's Football game.
El Campo Hospital is in its 6th year of support this year sponsoring 8 students for $7,320.
S.P.J.S.T sponsored three students for $2700 and El Campo Rotary heard of the increased need and costs and gave a $10,000 donation!
Mrs. Kacer and the CNA students are incredibly grateful to these remarkable organizations that recognized a need in their community and took action to address it. A heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you!
