Myatt was thrilled to welcome a wonderful new author, Rena Dluhos, who recently shared her enchanting book, "Paulie the Pelican’s First Solo Flight," with several classes! The kids were absolutely captivated!

Every adventurous journey begins with a single step. In "Paulie the Pelican’s First Solo Flight," Paulie takes a leap into the unknown, feeling both nervous and excited. His courageous first step teaches children that true bravery isn't about being fearless; it’s about embracing challenges with self-trust. This heartwarming tale is a delightful way for young readers to build confidence and face new experiences with optimism and courage!

Mrs. Hopper’s Health Science Theory was fortunate to have guest speaker Linda Espita, LVN, from SPJST Nursing & Rehabilitation. During her visit, students learned about a typical day in the life of a geriatric nurse. They asked prepared questions, interacted with her, and had the opportunity to look at several items used in the nursing home setting.

Thank you, Mrs. Espita and SPJST, for taking the time to speak with our students and share your knowledge and experience!

Mrs. Janik's Pre-K Class enjoyed Read Across America Week and read lots of books! They also did several reading, writing, and fine-motor crafts to go along with all the books. Several visitors came to read to our class, including former students and friends, a former teacher/librarian, an Instructional Coach, the students' parents, and some special family members. And to top it off, they won the contest for this special week from Sylvan Learning.
