ECHS STEP II will be holding a plant sale AND bake sale on Friday, April 19, from 9 AM to 1 PM. The bake sale is to help raise money for Special Olympics! Location: ECHS bus ramp on Ave F. The Ricebirds Football Team accepted the prestigious Grant Teaff Beyond the Game Team Award this past Saturday at the Texas Sports Hall of Fame Ceremony!
The Grant Teaff Beyond the Game Team Award recognizes teams for their outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork, and community involvement. This award is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and exemplary behavior demonstrated by our players both on and off the field.

Congratulations to Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Art Winner Sophia Corona!
She applied and was accepted to a summer opportunity that is offered by HLSR to School Art winners and finalists. Sophia will spend one month at Shreiner University in Kerrville, Texas, receiving 2 weeks of oil painting instruction, and 2 weeks of sculpture instruction from Art professors. What an opportunity!

The Varsity Ricebirds Men’s golf team took 2nd place at the District Tournament! Leading the Ricebirds was 4th Medalist James Dorotik 80/81(161), followed by Trace Mathews 79/83 (162), Carter Arrambide 82/80 (162), Ty Ener 88/85 (173), and Kayden Zajicek 92/81 (173). The team will advance to the Regional Tournament at Colony Creek Country Club next week.
🥉 The JV Ricebird Men’s golf team took 3rd place at the District Tournament: Rhett Russell 83/90 (173), Owen Radley 86/88 (174), Bradyn Krasucky 87/91 (178), Duncan Harris 92/91 (183), Conner Ritz 98/87 (185).
🥉 The Varsity Ladybirds placed 3rd after a playoff against Bellville's team 2.
