The Northside Life Skills class had an adventure at the fairgrounds. They got to experience Texas Farm Bureau's Ag in the Classroom day!








3rd and 4th year ECHS Culinary Arts students working on their ServSafe Manager’s Certification!
The exam focuses on five aspects of food service that can affect the safety of food: Foodborne Microorganisms and allergens; Personal Hygiene; Purchasing, Receiving, and Storage; Preparation, Cooking, and Serving; and Facilities, Cleaning/Sanitizing, and Pest Management.


🎃 🎶 ECMS Halloween Dance! Friday, October 13 is a student holiday, so come dance with us next Thursday night! 6:00 pm -8:30 pm. ECMS students only, 6th-8th grade. Costumes are allowed, however NO masks and NO revealing costumes. Admission is $8 and concession items will be available for purchase.

Senior Parents/Class of 2024!
Seniors have until Saturday, October 28th to go online to select their favorite yearbook pose out of the yearbook-acceptable poses that were taken.

The deadline date is Saturday, October 14th (this is the last day seniors can be photographed to appear on the finished senior yearbook link).


Fridays in PE at Hutchins are always a blast because it's station day! The gym is transformed into a hub of excitement and energy as students rotate through various activity stations. From jumping rope to climbing the rock wall, there's never a dull moment!
As the stations come to an end, the gym is filled with happy, sweaty faces. Students leave with a sense of accomplishment and a newfound love for physical activity. Fun Fridays in PE are not only a break from the regular routine but also an opportunity to try new activities, challenge themselves, and have a blast with their classmates.

Kindergarteners were excited to receive "Richard Scary's Word Book" from El Campo Literacy Advocates Rotaract Club this morning! The children will use the book all year as a reference during writing time and then get to take it home at the end of the year to keep!

Hutchins Elementary celebrated TRUSTWORTHINESS extra BIG this week! We started the week with grade level assemblies including a read aloud of the book I Am Human.

🎉 The School Board had another great evening of celebrating our Ricebirds!
First, they recognized the 2022-23 softball team who earned the #1 national ranking from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for their “Team GPA Award”.
Then they recognized the 14 individuals who received recognition from the College Board. These students were recognized as Rural and Small Town Scholars, National Hispanic Scholars, National African-American Scholars, and one who received the National Commended Scholar recognition.
