Do you have an old instrument in your house collecting dust? Maybe you had a child that has long since graduated and given up playing their instrument? ECMS is collecting any used band instruments that you would be willing to donate to our middle school band program. We want all students who have an interest in music to have an instrument to play! We will be accepting donated instruments at a drop off location at ECMS cafeteria on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 5pm - 7pm. Please share this information with family, friends and neighbors! Thank you for helping encourage a young musician.

🎈 Mrs. Guthrie's STEM class at ECMS worked in teams to complete their first STEM challenge of the year. The engineering mission is to build the tallest, freestanding tower using a bag of balloons and masking tape. Students worked together to blow up the balloons and find a way to hold them together for a tower, hoping to be the tallest in the room.

Tickets for the El Campo vs Cuero football game in Cuero will be $5 per person cash only at the gate. UIL passes will be accepted. No outside food or drink will be allowed, a concession stand will be available.

Kindergarten students at Myatt learned about the rules and manners which helped them in creating their classroom social contracts during their first week of school! 🍍 Students in Mrs. William's class made and enjoyed a "Friendship Salad" which consisted of a bowl (classroom) filled with oranges (rule followers), pineapples (hard workers), peaches (kind kids), marshmallows (kind words), and cool whip (happiness)! 📚 Students in Mrs.Dluhos and Mrs. Ritz’s class read “Our Class is a Family”. Students drew themselves and put it on the class family poster and made a class friendship bracelet!

As we gear up for another exciting year at El Campo Middle School, we are thrilled about our upcoming Back to School Dance! Friday, August 18 from 6:00-8:30 at the ECMS Gym. Admission is $8 and there will be concessions. Please note that this event is exclusively for current ECMS students. We kindly ask that parents drop off and pick up their children promptly at the designated times to ensure a smooth and organized event. We look forward to seeing our students dressed in their best school appropriate attire, ready to dance the night away, and create wonderful memories.
