ECMS - Save the Dates! STAAR testing is just around the corner! Save these important dates: April 26: Grades 6-8 Reading; May 2: Grade 8 Science; May 4: Grade 8 Social Studies; May 10th: Grades 6-8 Math/Algebra I. ⭐All students will need their school-issued Chromebook charged and ready for testing.
Mrs. Bowling´s 8th Grade AVID class got to tour Texas A&M Corpus Christi this week and the Islanders were very welcoming! The students were able to see several campus landmarks, learn about student life, and even dine at the campus dining hall.
Then, as an extra treat, they went to the Texas State Aquarium where students learned about the Gulf wildlife, witnessed animal feedings, touched stingrays, and saw the dolphin show! ⛳ Congratulations to Ricebird Golf on a great season! The boys finished 10th at the Regional Tournament this week. James Dorotik lead the team and finished tied for 19th individually.
Shout out to Karson Martin who shot a 79 on day 2 - his personal best at his last tournament as a senior!

After finishing tied for 9th yesterday in round 1, the Ricebird golfers tee off at the Regional Tournament today for round 2! Good luck, boys! 🍀⛳
The Ricebird Athletic Banquet will be at the Civic Center on Wednesday, May 10th at 5:30 pm. Tickets for family members wishing to attend are $15 each and can be purchased at the administration building, the high school office, or from the athletic secretary.
⛳ At the Regional golf tournament, the Ladybirds finished 13th. Congratulations, Ladybirds on a great season!

ECHS Advanced Culinary received a box of some beautiful farm fresh produce from the Wharton County Farm Bureau for the students to experiment with. They created some beautiful dishes! The dishes they prepared were:
