Mr. Hand invited former student & Ricebird standout Rueben Owens to speak with his Advanced Theatre Arts students!
As one of the nation's top running backs, Rueben visited with Mr. Hand's students about the importance of education, leadership, resilience, and faith. Rueben then headed to the field with 8th grade athletes for some play-by-play! Mr. Hand and his Advanced Theatre students would like to thank Rueben for spending time with us in Theatre Arts class!

Congratulations to ECHS Practicum in Culinary Arts student, Gabi Tijerina! She will be continuing her culinary education at The Culinary Institute LeNotre in Houston to pursue her degree in Baking and Pastry Arts.
In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, Northside students had a "Dress Like a Teacher" day! Teachers also received a token of appreciation and a picture with their class!

The Pilot Club of El Campo presented our very own Barbara Hlavaty with the Texas District Special Education Teacher Award!
Barbara is devoted to working with the Step II young adult students at El Campo High School and has been an invaluable resource for parents and students who need help in finding the right program facility and resources as students transition from high school to contributing young adults. Barbara is an exemplary example of selflessness. This attribute rubs off on her students.
