🪴🌷ECHS STEP II is having a plant sale Friday, April 25, 9-1, and May 2nd, 9-1 on the high school campus by H building. Flowers and veggie plants are available.
HOSA members embarked on a trip to Texas A&M. One group of 40 students explored the clinical simulation labs utilized by nursing, medical, and EMT students. They had the opportunity to view mock surgical rooms, clinical exam areas, emergency rooms, nurseries, and delivery rooms. The highlight for the students was a remarkable mannequin capable of simulating childbirth!
Meanwhile, another group of 20 students participated in a presentation by the veterinary school, followed by a tour of the facility and clinical area. The two groups reconvened for lunch and engaged in a panel discussion featuring a fourth-year medical student, two first-year medical students, and a veterinary student, all hailing from rural communities like El Campo. Additionally, students were introduced to a member of the admissions team who provided valuable insights on various pathways to college acceptance.

The Remarkable Ricebird Award acknowledges teachers and staff who exhibit the outstanding Ricebird Spirit. Our district is full of teachers and staff who do remarkable things daily, and this is an opportunity to recognize everything they bring to the Ricebird Team.
Congratulations to El Campo ISD's Remarkable Ricebirds - Kim Grudzieski of Northside Elementary, Vicki Garcia of Hutchins Elementary, and Rosie Almanzar of El Campo High School.

Proposition A includes additions and renovations at Hutchins Elementary School and El Campo High School for enclosed walkways and secure entry vestibules to help eliminate more than 100 current exterior doorways. This would keep students and staff from exiting the multiple buildings during the day that expose them to inclement weather, traffic, and passersby. https://youtu.be/fh4lwAyekqc
