April is Autism Acceptance Month at El Campo ISD - At El Campo ISD, we believe in creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every student is seen, heard, and valued. Autism Acceptance Month is a time to celebrate the strengths and individuality of our autistic students, staff, and families. We're committed to fostering understanding, promoting inclusion, and embracing neurodiversity - not just this month but every day. Together, we can help ensure that all learners have the opportunity to thrive. To our ECISD community: Thank you for continuing to lead with kindness, empathy, and respect.

Each phlebotomist candidate must reach 30 successful venipuncture sticks to gain certification! Please help them out by volunteering. All participants who volunteer to allow a future phlebotomist to “stick” their arm will be entered into a drawing to win Visa gift cards ranging in value from $50 to $300. One entry per stick! You can participate more than once. The days to volunteer are April 3rd, 7th, 14th, and 15th. The time is from 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm in the H Building at the high school, at the corner of Ave F & Ash Street. For more information, email Ms. Kacer at kkacer@ricebirds.net.

Ms. Rawlinson’s class had a visit from a fun friend this week. Thank you, Ms. Kassie Cerny, for taking time out of your day to bring your new family member, Ragnar. Students learned that Ragnar is a bearded dragon that usually originates from Australia. They also learned about what it takes to care for Ragnar. The class finished with a fun science page on living and nonliving things.
