🦃Northside students were delighted to attend grade-level feasts in the cafeteria. Teachers and students decorated the tables, and students were able to sit family style. A big thank you to our cafeteria staff for the wonderful turkey and dressing meal they prepared. See the fun here: Northside Thanksgiving video

Update on Hutchins: Parents, thank you for your understanding and cooperation. As of now, the law-enforcement situation has been resolved, and Hutchins Elementary will resume a typical day and release. Thank you for your patience and for your confidence in us to keep your kids safe. Bob Callaghan
Update on High School and Hutchins
Parents of high school: The district appreciates your cooperation, as the administration and staff have worked to keep your students safe with minimal interruptions to the high school activities. The situation on Roberts Street is being contained, and law enforcement is confident the high school can resume normal activities while remaining vigilant to the law enforcement situation three blocks to the south of the high school. A modification to the high school schedule is in order due to the law enforcement situation. The upper class switched their lunch times with the 9th grade and will have their lunch beginning at 12:45 rather than the normal 11:15. Once lunch is completed, high school students will continue with the 7th and 8th periods. A normal dismissal will follow. Thank you for your cooperation!
Parents of Hutchins: Avenue I continues to be barricaded while law enforcement works to resolve the situation on Roberts. Access to the Hutchins campus is still restricted. Local law enforcement has assured us that a typical parent pickup will occur this afternoon. Law enforcement is hopeful that the situation will be resolved prior to parent pickup, but in the event the situation continues, law enforcement will open Avenue I and utilize law enforcement to help parents retrieve their children.
To continue providing meals safely, El Campo High School will temporarily flip our lunch schedule today:
9th grade will take the earlier lunch period.
Upper-class students will take the later lunch period at a time to be determined.
Additionally, all students will remain inside the high school buildings during the first lunch period. No students will be permitted in the courtyard.
We will update how we will conduct the lunch period for the upper classman at a later time.
This adjustment allows us to manage student movement safely while minimizing traffic in open areas during the Lockout.
We will share additional updates as they are provided by local law enforcement. Again, we want to reassure you that there is a significant police presence on Roberts Street, the situation is contained, and our Lockout procedures are an added layer of protection for our students.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Bob Callaghan
