This is a reminder about tonight’s Middle School Showcase at 6pm. We invite you to attend and tour electives for next year. Your child will also register for next years classes. Each School year HOSA students have the option to compete in healthcare events. Alyx chose to compete in the HOSA researched persuasive writing and speaking competitive event. Her paper was chosen and she gets to compete at the HOSA spring leadership conference this weekend at Manvel High School. Let's send congratulations and well wishes to Alyx Fisher!


🍎 Meet Board Secretary David Vallejo ~
A Trustee since May 2021, David states, "My primary reason for serving ECISD is because I believe that students hold the keys to the future and that the staff of ECISD are the mechanism that set them on the path to success. I am pleased to do my part to make that journey a positive one."
David is self-employed in the areas of Facilities Management and Real Estate.

ECMS Counselors and the AVID teacher spoke to 5th graders about the Elective Showcase, tomorrow, 1/11 at 6 PM at ECMS. There will be an AVID informational meeting at 5:30. All current 5th graders are encouraged to attend to register for 2024-2025 classes.

🍎 Meet Board President James Russell ~
A Trustee for 15 years, James states, "I choose to serve on the board because I understand how important the collective board and The District are to the students, teachers, and staff. ECISD is a crucial part of our community. The people who make up ECISD make our community better through their work in The District and their work outside of their school district roles. Thus, as a Trustee, I see my job as helping make decisions that are good for our kids, good for our educators and staff, and good for Our Community."
James works in the insurance industry and specializes in Commercial Risk including Oilfield, Construction, Marine, and Surety.

Attention 5th Graders!
Make plans to attend the ECMS 6th Grade Showcase on Thursday, January 11th, from 6-7pm. This is for current 5th graders to tour the ECMS campus, visit elective classes, and register for their 24-25 6th grade elective classes.

Middle School Parents: Weather reports indicate a tornado watch, but not warning, for Wharton County until 9pm. Currently it is very windy. Rain is expected after 4pm. We will allow students to walk however If you prefer to pick up instead please notify your child by text or call the front office and we will notify your child. Thank you.

🏆 ⚽ The Ladybird Soccer team crushed it at the Yoakum tournament & came home with the championship trophy! Congratulations!


🥎 Ladybird Softball upcoming events - Monday, January 8th at 5:30 PM: softball parents meeting in the weight room meeting room. Players should attend and bring at least one parent. Friday, January 12 at 4:30 PM: first practice. Saturday, January 13 at 9:00 AM: practice. Monday, January 15 at 9:00 AM: practice.

Congratulations to the 2023/2024 ECHS CNA class. They had 22 students who successfully completed the 100 required hours and made the grades on practice tests to be approved to sit for the state exam. We wish them luck in their upcoming state certification tests! #CTE
