El Campo High School and La Grange High School will participate in a scrimmage on August 16, 2024, with all proceeds to be donated to the THSCEF Benevolence Fund. This day has become known as OUR DAY TO SHINE. The THSCEF Benevolence fund was established by the Texas High School Coaches Association Board of Directors to assist athletes and coaches experiencing hardship. Over 1,165 schools have participated in OUR DAY TO SHINE and raised over $721,000.00. The THSCEF has paid over $641,000.00 to athletes and coaches in need. The scrimmage will be at 7:00 pm and the public is invited to attend. ***If you can't make it and would like to donate to the cause, you can Venmo @THSCACoaches

Don't forget! The ECMS 6th Grade Orientation is TODAY, August 8th, from 5:30-7:30pm. This is not a come and go event but a full 2 hour orientation for students and parents. You and your child will confirm online registration, get a Chromebook, pick up a schedule, meet the teachers, and more! We can't wait to see you there!
We look forward to our Meet the Teacher come-and-go event this evening, August 8th at the times below. Please join us to meet your teacher(s) and see your classrooms. To receive class placement, parents must have completed online registration, students must be cleared of all fines, and immunizations must be up to date.
1st Grade - 4:30-5:30 - Check-in will be outside near the front office at Driveway B; 2nd Grade - 5:00-6:00 - Check-in will be outside at Driveway A; and 3rd Grade - 5:30 - 6:30 - Check-in will be outside at Driveway A.
Information about bus routes: Anyone who rode a bus last year that has not had an address change will automatically be assigned to the same route this year. Anyone who is new to the district or who changed their address needs to call the Transportation Department ASAP at 979-543-5252 to notify them of changes so they can be assigned to a route.

Parents and their 9th Graders,
We are excited to welcome you all to freshman orientation tomorrow. This is not a come-and-go event. Below you will find the order of events for orientation.
*Students will check in at tables by alpha split in the courtyard in front of A building from 1:00-1:30. Keep in mind it will take the full 30 minutes to check in the whole 9th-grade class, so please do not arrive at 1:30.
*Parents and students will report to the auditorium after they have checked in for a welcome by ECHS Principal, Mr. Fleener to begin at 1:30.
*Following the welcome, students will begin rotations. There will be four rotations at 20 minutes each:
- Library – Chromebook checkout
- Cafeteria – Schedule Pick-up
- SLH – Student Life
- Campus Tours
*Parents will remain in the auditorium where our technology professional will deliver a presentation on accessing skyward and helping parents get connected. Students may leave after they have completed their last rotation.
***Parents, if you cannot attend, please sign a Chromebook Form you received by email and send it with your child. You may also sign and email the form to lmorton@ricebirds.net *** Please print legibly, so she knows which student the form belongs to. - ECHS Team
🏈 Ricebird Football Season tickets are available to the public Aug 5th - 8th from 7 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 3 pm from Carrie Hibbs at the Strength & Conditioning building.
The last day to buy season tickets will be on Saturday, August 10th at Media Day, from 7:30 am - 10 am.
Tickets are $40 per seat for the season - 5 home games.
