Some seriously spooky designs were created in advanced floral design last week!

Mrs. Bennetsen's advanced classes presented a mock trial based on The Tell-Tale Heart, where students took on the roles of either the defense or prosecution, examining the guilt or innocence of the narrator. The narrator claims he’s not insane, even though he admits to killing the old man because of his "evil eye." The prosecution will argue that the narrator is guilty of murder, using his words and actions as evidence of his intentions. The defense, on the other hand, will try to prove he was driven by madness and, therefore, was not fully responsible for his actions. Through this trial, students gathered evidence, prepared arguments, and cross-examined witnesses to explore the narrator’s mental state and motives.

Mrs. Kacer's Medical Terminology class whipped up some bone-tastic-themed skeletons!

5th graders at Northside had a fun trick-or-treating experience in their math classes on Halloween. If they solved their order of operations problems with the correct strategies, they got to pull a "trick" or "treat" card. If they pulled "treat", they got a fun treat. If they pulled a "trick", they had to put their hand in a mystery bag of eyeballs, brains, witch warts, mummy skin, and more!

The Ricebird Band & Color Guard performed at Area Contest and represented El Campo so well! "We are very proud of the job our kids did, and although we would have liked a different result, our band grew so much this year. With the difference from last year to now being ridiculously noticeable, I'm encouraged by the thought of what we will become a year from now!" said Band Director Mr. Partida.
