A new milestone. A new standard. And an exciting future ahead for the Ricebird Band

Congratulations to the El Campo Ricebird Band on an outstanding performance at Saturday's Area Marching Contest in Pflugerville! Competing against 32 bands from across the region, the Ricebirds finished 17th overall, breaking into the top 20 for the first time in at least 30 years!

This is a tremendous milestone for the program and a testament to our students' hard work, dedication, and growth. Performing as the third band of the day, our students took the field early and delivered their strongest performance of the entire season.

While they won't be advancing to the next round, they have plenty to celebrate. This group has continued to raise the bar, challenge expectations, and move our program forward. 17th out of 32 is more than a placement...it's a sign of where this program is headed.

The Band Directors are incredibly proud of these students and grateful for the support of the administration, faculty, staff, parents, and community. They thank everyone who has encouraged, supported, and cheered on the Ricebird Band throughout this season!
