5th graders at Northside had a fun trick-or-treating experience in their math classes on Halloween. If they solved their order of operations problems with the correct strategies, they got to pull a "trick" or "treat" card. If they pulled "treat", they got a fun treat. If they pulled a "trick", they had to put their hand in a mystery bag of eyeballs, brains, witch warts, mummy skin, and more!

Fourth and fifth grade students worked hard this nine weeks reading various books and taking Accelerated Reader tests to show their knowledge and comprehension skills of the books.
Those reaching their points goal earned a "Pig Out" party. This celebration of success included bringing snacks to enjoy and playing games with their friends. Way to go Readers! We are proud of you!
Ricebird Diagnosticians, Stacy Amestoy, Taryn Staff, Stephanie Cortez, and Laura Motal attended the 23rd Annual Texas Dyslexia Conference to learn more about how dyslexia affects our students and how we can better identify and support them. #DyslexiaAwarenessMonth

All tickets will be $8 per person cash only at the gate.
Ricky Ricebird's Rally Rack is open for business! Students have been earning that Northside cash by showing amazing behavior on campus such as great class participation and being kind and helpful to others.
5th grader Easton Coles is leaving an impressive mark on Northside with our store name. 4th and 5th grade students had an opportunity to vote on the store name with an astounding win for Ricky Ricebird's Rally Rack. Great job Easton!
It's THURSDAY! Why not pizza tonight? Thank you to Mr. Gatti's for supporting ECISD Elementary Parent Teacher Organizations! On Thursdays from 5-9, 10% of all proceeds at Mr. Gatti's go to support ECISD Elementary PTOs.
Northside loves its staff! To show appreciation to all the teachers and staff who help make Northside the best place, all were surprised with a snack of popcorn and soda.
