Friendly reminder for parents: Students, Grade 8 and younger, must be accompanied by an adult at Ricebird football games. Parents may not drop students off at the stadium without an adult in attendance. Students must be seated in the stands and may not roam. Students may be asked to leave the stadium with non-compliance.

Mrs. Janik’s class learned about germs - in a fun way! We put water in a bowl and added pepper to represent the germs. After the students dipped their finger in the "germs" we put Dawn dish soap on their finger and dipped it back into the bowl so they could watch the "germs" move!
Mrs. Phillips had the full attention of Mrs. Pustejovsky’s class while teaching them how to navigate the computer.

Reminder: Friday, September 1st is a Staff Development Day for El Campo ISD. Classes resume Tuesday, September 5th after the Labor Day Holiday.
Do you have an old instrument in your house collecting dust? Maybe you had a child that has long since graduated and given up playing their instrument? ECMS is collecting any used band instruments that you would be willing to donate to our middle school band program. We want all students who have an interest in music to have an instrument to play! We will be accepting donated instruments at a drop off location at ECMS cafeteria on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 5pm - 7pm. Please share this information with family, friends and neighbors! Thank you for helping encourage a young musician.

Kindergarten students at Myatt learned about the rules and manners which helped them in creating their classroom social contracts during their first week of school!
🍍 Students in Mrs. William's class made and enjoyed a "Friendship Salad" which consisted of a bowl (classroom) filled with oranges (rule followers), pineapples (hard workers), peaches (kind kids), marshmallows (kind words), and cool whip (happiness)!
📚 Students in Mrs.Dluhos and Mrs. Ritz’s class read “Our Class is a Family”. Students drew themselves and put it on the class family poster and made a class friendship bracelet!

Myatt Elementary Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures:
The first day of school is almost here! Here are a few reminders to help get us started off to a great year!
Please stay in your vehicle when dropping off your student(s). This will help to safely and in a timely manner get students to class and get the day started. This also helps with the traffic flow. Please take that picture as they walk in! Our staff will make sure they make it to their classroom.
🚗 Drop-off and Pick-up:
*PreK students will be dropped off and picked up in the front of Myatt off Webb Street. Please take care and be watchful for the school buses in the same drop-off area.
*Kindergarten students will be dropped off and picked up on the side of Myatt off of Blossom Meyer Drive across from the Aquatic Center. If you have PreK and Kinder students, please drop them off on the Blossom Meyer side.
Don’t forget to use your pick-up signs when picking up your students. For their safety, students will not be loaded unless the pickup sign is clearly visible from your vehicle. Please leave the sign up until your child is loaded safely in your vehicle.
Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have further questions. We are looking forward to working with our parents and guardians to ensure a year of happiness and growth for all of our students!
