Impending Inclement Weather - The National Weather Service has forecast a potential winter storm arriving in the Gulf Coast area early Sunday morning. We will monitor events throughout the weekend and will make a decision no later than 2 pm Sunday regarding school closure or a potential late start on Monday. 1. 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 - Applicants must have at least a High School diploma or G.E.D. and must be able to attend a training session on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. There is no fee for the training session.

Your generosity and teamwork helped the Blessing Cup Storehouse by collecting the most non-perishable food items this year for Trim-A-Tree. Huge thank you to Santa for making a special stop at Hutchins Elementary today! Every single student at Hutchins got the chance to say hi, and our kids lit up like Christmas trees the moment he walked in. The joy he brought was the real deal.
We are grateful he took time out of his very full December schedule to remind our kids that the season is all about wonder, kindness, and a little sparkle of fun.

🦃✨Hutchins Turkey Trot was a HUGE hit! The students loved having the chance to compete for a Turkey for their families!!! Students ran, cheered, and had an absolute blast! 🏆🍗 Thank you to everyone for making this day so much fun and full of energy. The students loved every minute!

Don’t forget about the Meadow Lane Holiday Bazaar on November 19th and 20th, held at Christ Lutheran Church on Ave I. The fun runs from 9-5 on Wednesday and 9-12 on Thursday. They’ll have lots of yummy treats, gifts for all ages, and spectacular holiday decor!
