
A little Homecoming Week Fun...Tuesday was HOLIDAY-DAY!
Cindy Lou Who from The Grinch (Mrs. Seaman) was a welcomed surprise by third grade students at Hutchins Elementary!
And at Northside, Ms. Russell's class donned their favorite Holiday attire!



After finishing the classic tale Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Ms. Molina's 3rd graders teamed up to analyze the characters and present their ideas to the class!

Ms.Treumer at Hutchins got some friends to sponsor her class to receive a new book each month this school year. The kids received their first book last week thanks to this month's sponsor, Terry Rab, a paraprofessional at Hutchins.
The students were so very excited to be able to take a book of their very own home to keep. They will now use this opportunity to learn about writing Thank You notes by sending one to the sponsor each month.

Fridays are fun Friday in Mrs. Weathers' classroom at Hutchins! After doing normal stations and lessons, they gathered with Mrs. Shumbera's class and made brownies to enjoy as an afternoon snack.
They also celebrated earning Stinky Feet by wearing house shoes, crazy socks, or just no shoes.

Ms. Rodriguez’s 2nd graders took a trip to the library to check out books. Later, during WIN Reading, they dove into their literary treasures and tackled AR tests like reading ninjas!
The excitement was off the charts as they unleashed their inner bookworms!

Mrs. Weathers' class at Hutchins learned about States of Matter ( Liquid, Solid, Gas) by playing with ice cubes that were frozen (Solid State) and then melted into water (Liquid State).
The kids enjoyed playing with the ice and watching it melt in their hands!

Congratulations to the top class in each grade level for having the highest attendance percentage for the past four weeks of school! These classes will have the Attendance Champs banner hanging outside their classroom for this month. Way to go Ricebirds!

All students in Grade 8 and below must be accompanied by an adult at the football game this evening. Parents are not permitted to drop off students at the stadium without an adult present, and the accompanying adult cannot be a high school student.
Students are required to remain seated in the stands and are not allowed to roam. Non-compliance may result in the student being asked to leave the stadium.

When rain crashes the outdoor recess party, Ms. Rodriguez's 2nd graders dive into Indoor recess fun! From board games to magnetic masterpieces and puzzling adventures, these kiddos are on a mission to have a blast while mastering their social skills through cooperative play.
