Chase’s Chapters Brings the Gift of Reading
Today, Hutchins had the privilege of welcoming Chase’s Chapters to the campus, and what a special day it was. Their team traveled all the way from North Houston to put brand-new books directly into the hands of every one of our students. That’s not just generous, that’s impactful.
There’s something powerful about a child choosing a book that’s theirs to keep. It builds pride, ownership, and a lifelong love of reading. Watching the students light up as they picked out their books was a reminder that small moments can create big sparks.
Hutchins is incredibly thankful for Chase’s Chapter and their commitment to spreading the joy of reading. Our students left with more than just books in their hands. They left with stories, imagination, and opportunity.

A huge thank you to this team for keeping our schools safe and for being such positive role models for our Ricebirds. We truly value the difference they make every single day!

The El Campo Ricebirds and El Campo Ladybirds Soccer teams invite the little athletes from the El Campo Youth Soccer League to join us at tomorrow's game. Admission is free for any athlete who is registered with the Youth Soccer League for this year's season.
The young Athletes will need to arrive at 6:00 pm and will run onto the field before the varsity girls' game. Larry Smith will assist with checking in the children at the gate.
Only athletes receive free admission. Parents and siblings must pay for admission.
Spread the word!

Not only did our students take on the ring, but so did some great faculty and staff! We had receptionists, teachers of all grade levels, administrators, occupational therapist, instructional coaches, librarians, and paras all give up their Saturday morning to support the students and exhibit their animals. A big, big thank you for investing in our students in and out of the classroom!

During last night’s board meeting, we took a moment to celebrate several outstanding Ricebirds! We began by recognizing the seven dedicated volunteers who selflessly serve on the El Campo ISD Board of Trustees. Next, we acknowledged our Remarkable Ricebirds: Michelle Fernandez, the Elementary Parent Liaison; Nick Popp from El Campo Middle School; and BJ Swenson from El Campo High School. Finally, we concluded by honoring Trent Popp, who was named the 4A Assistant Coach of the Year by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association.
The Board discussed options for the 2026-2027 calendar and approved several agenda items.
