Update 3/21/25:
Starting Monday, March 24th, the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) will provide FREE At-Risk Dinner meals to all students at El Campo High School and Northside Elementary. There are plans to extend this dinner meal program to all campuses in the future.
These meals are not to leave the campus and are available from 3:35-4:15.
For more information contact ECISD Food Service Director, Patricia Perales at pperales@ricebirds.net.

The high school cafeteria does not have enough space for all students, leading to off-campus lunch for sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Even with three grades leaving campus, freshmen still exceed available seating. The overcrowding also creates scheduling challenges across the campus.
Proposition A would double the cafeteria’s capacity to accommodate 500 students.

El Campo High School, with original construction from 1953, consists of 14 separate buildings that are not connected to each other. Students move between classes by walking outside, often exposed to rain and weather conditions.
More than half of the classrooms in the buildings slated for demolition are smaller than the state minimum and do not meet TEA standards.
Proposition A would connect campus buildings, improving security, maintenance, and classroom spaces. Learn more at ecisd.org. https://www.ecisd.org/bond2025

El Campo ISD spent $110,000 last year on maintenance and HVAC installation. Upgrading aging facilities with modern, energy-efficient systems can help reduce utility expenses and maintenance costs.
Proposition A would fund renovations, shifting major facility costs to bond funds and freeing up maintenance dollars for other district needs.
