On Wednesday, August 26th, the board of trustees will hold its regular meeting and a public hearing. The public hearing is scheduled for 5:45. It will be the community's opportunity to provide input on the 2026-2027 school budget and the tax rate.
This meeting will be followed by the regularly scheduled monthly board meeting at 6:00. Please join us if you can.
The agenda includes:
Consideration of partnering with Lamar State College Orange to provide dual credit cosmetology courses for high school students.
Approving a sale of bonds based on the 2025 successful $81M bond election.
Consideration of the 2026-2027 district budget.
Discussion and consideration of passing the tax rate for our I&S and M&O budgets. The board will also receive an update on the construction progress at Hutchins and the High School.
