At the board meeting held last night, members recognized Chengshun Jia from El Campo High School for his participation in the State Solo and Ensemble competition. The board also addressed budget recommendations, received an update on the Gifted and Talented program, and voted to compensate employees for loss of work on June 5, 2025, due to a ransomware cyberattack that affected the ECISD servers. Additionally, they discussed and voted to opt out of permitting non-enrolled students to participate in UIL activities in response to SB 401. The meeting concluded with the superintendent's report.
